Always wanted to dress just like Slash, and when I say just like Slash I mean exactly like Slash... Well here's your chance. Mister guitar virtuoso with the tophat is cleaning out his attic and selling everything from his lighter collection, his leather motorcycle jacket and matching leather pants and his futons, to his guitars and muscle car. The auction will be held on the 26th of March and proceeds will partly go to charity.

“A Shepard tone, named after Roger Shepard, is a sound consisting of a superposition of sine waves separated by octaves. When played with the base pitch of the tone moving upwards or downwards, it is referred to as the Shepard scale. Everybody around me is talking about James Blake and his song The Wilhelm Scream like it's the music equivalent of Messi. But what is a Wilhelm Scream, one might wonder...Luckily, the ever genius people at Cracked.com wrote an article today about the origins of the Wilhelm Scream. Turns out the Wilhelm Scream is credited to sound designer Ben Burtt, who found it on a reel labeled "Man being eaten by alligator" and made it famous by using it in over 200 films.
That man by the way is also responsible for the cool "pfew-pfews" and "changs-changs" of the lazers and light sabers in Stars Wars, Darth Vader's heavy breathing (using scuba gear) and the voices of both Wall-E and E.T.

#369 Eminem At The Super Bowl
This weekend the US had their precious little Super Bowl. It's kinda like a big deal over there, I guess compared to world wide standards it's a more feminine version of the world championship soccer final. Besides the "athletic" part of the show, there is also a big music half time part and a true battle royale of commercials. Lot's of cool things to see on that last part and for a complete overview I strongly suggest you go here.
Eminem was in two commercials during the Super Bowl and quite the commercials they are. Chrysler and Eminem are both "representing" Detroit in a Hip-Hop sense, borrowing heavily from Eminem's 8 Mile film from a while ago.
Eminem and sugar water supplier Brisk are bringing you a commercial on why Eminem is not doing any commercials. Pretty funny as well.

Today is the day James Dean would have reached the ripe age of 80, had he no been killed in a car crash back in 1955 at the age of 24. Perfect Car Crashed by Atze de Vriese is a compilation dealing with car crashed... You guessed it! Lyrically themed songs that deal with dying in a fast and furious blaze of glory when you're too young and your hot young lover right beside you.
