#512 American Juggalo

I've shared my appreciation / fascination for the subculture called Juggalos here before. This morning I saw this amazing documentary called American Juggalo fly by on the internet. It comes across as the Heavy Metal Parking Lot of the 2010s and is viewable online, right here below. Awesomeness.

#500 Banned Lunchables Commercial

A little bird told me that this is a commercial for Lunchablez from 1996, developed to appeal towards urban youth. The commercial never saw the light of day, until now... Whether this is true though I wouldn't know.
By the way. Post number 500. Not bad eh?

#488 Insane Clown Boobies

Last weekend there was some sort of gathering of the Juggalos. A social phenomenon that I don't know that much about, but seems to involve history's most misunderstood white kids wearing face paint, a lot of bad music and Charlie Sheen hosting. Judging from these pictures I totally want to go there next year. WOOT-WOOT

#479 Holland In Da Hood

The geniuses at Eyeworks are working on a new reality show called "Holland In Da Hood". After hot items like "Oh Oh Cherso" and "Echte Meisjes In De Jungle" a program, probably broadcasted on RTL 5, will show 6 Dutch youngsters / gangsters, from illustrous places like Bakkum, meet with their idols from the ghettos of Los Angeles. See a trailer for advertisers here.

#472 The Bit-52's The World's Greatest Robot Parts Band playing The B-52's - Rock Lobster

Thank you for this YouTube user bd594. His inspiration according to his site.

"This is dedicated to all fans of The B-52’s who are also known as the “Worlds Greatest Party Band”. This idea has been simmering in my mind for the last couple of years and after many months of procrastinating it is finally complete. I was also motivated to finish my robot band after seeing a YouTube Video from “The Trons” from New Zealand.

The Bit-52’s consist of:

Fred’s Vocals - TI99/4a computer, speech synthesizer and terminal emulator ii module
Kate and Cindy’s Vocals - Two HP Scanjet 3C scanners, UBunto and sjetplay written by NuGanjaTron
The Guitar, Keyboard, Cow Bell, Cymbal and Tambourine are all controlled by various types of push/pull solenoinds for a total of 23. The Solenoids are powered by four ULN2803 darlington drivers and everything is controlled by two PIC16F84A microcontrollers".

For thinking that the video below is crazy and maybe even somewhat disturbing.

#464 Ahh... The Name's Bootsy Baby!

Apart from full-god Prince, I also saw half-god Bootsy Collins play North Sea Jazz last Sunday. While watching I was wondering by myself... How does one play the funk. Luckily the person I was standing with reminded me of a BBC show from the early 80's called "Rockschool". In episode three "How to play funk", the likes of Herbie Hancock, Larry Graham and Bootsy Collins explain how. Watch the clip in the beginning for some funny as hell opening credits and Herbie's welcome words, then skip to 3:37 to find out about Bootsy Collins' "One".

#456 James Brown's Miso Soup

Of course Eddy Murphy did a great James Brown parody on SNL back in the 80's, but no one does a better James Brown then James Brown himself. See this Miso soup commercial to understand why.

#429 Dr. Dre When He Was A Toddler

Now supposedly, the film above is taken from an old TV show and the little toddler you're seeing is a young André Romell Young aka Dr. Dre. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say for a full 100%, however the kid does look like him and he's already being a true mack.

#428 Charlie Seen x Snoop Dogg: Winning

Snoop and Sheen have recorded a record. One that you can actually buy here... it's called "Winning!" and it's kinda stupid, but interesting nonetheless.
