#284 Beeps And Smudges, An iPhone Album

One of the best things about both the iPhone and the iPad are the various apps for making music. These apps all have different approaches to making music, are most of the time very accessible, easy to use and fit in the palm of your hand. It's only a matter of time of course before a slew of recordings that have been made with these kind of Apps will see the light of day.
Doc Pop's "Beeps and Smudges" is such an album, filled with "melody driven minimal electronic music". He has a video (below!) and the album can be downloaded for only one dollar US.

I know this iPhone app is way old, but I just discovered it this week. It's the Lil Jon: Official Soundboard app for iPhone. For as little as 79 Eurodollarcents you can here classics such as Yeah! and What! over-and-over-and-over-and-over again.

Lil' Jon, by the way, used to look like this (note the dutch football jacket!). Your retarded nephew might have a chance of becoming a retarded superstar after all.

#73 Voice Band, The Best iPhone App Ever?

I just spend two eurodollars and thirty nine eurodollar cents on an iPhone app called Voice Band and boy is that money well spend.

You know how you sometimes hum a melody and you wish you had a way of recording it on an instrument but since you are to lazy to actually learn and master an instrument, there's no way you can? Yes? Well do the people at Wavemachine Labs have something pour toi.

Voice Band transforms your voice into ten different instruments allowing you to create complete tracks from scratch and / or gives you the possibility to jam along with your favorite song. Just hum a face melting guitar solo and add it to the original.
